As of Monday, August 2 the movie has grossed $32,941,836 in the US, and around $61,000,000 worldwide.  It is the second highest grossing movie Stacy has appeared in, following Poseidon in 2006 which garnered over 182 Million around the world.

The Black Eyed Peas have new bragging rights. Their inescapable hit “I Gotta Feeling” has become the best-selling song in digital history with 6 million downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks last summer.

“We came out in ‘98 and our career, if you would look at it on chart, there’s no dips in it,” will.i.am told AP. “For our career to still be healthy and vibrant and doing things like 6 million downloads, it’s pretty significant.”

The Peas, who performed Friday on “Good Morning America’s” Summer Concert Series, also made another big announcement. The follow-up to their double-platinum album The E.N.D., titled The Beginning, is almost finished and tentatively due at the end of the year. “It symbolizes growth, new beginnings and starts, fresh new perspective,” saidwill.i.am.

Check out this interview, given after their performance on Good Morning America.

The frontman of the multi-platinum-selling group Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am, who is also a singer-songwriter and producer, is returning to his fashion roots with his menswear line labelled i.am.

“Right after high school, I went to fashion school and the music just was a stronger calling at the time,” recalled the Grammy-winning artist, who attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

While in Toronto for two concerts, the artist took time out for an in-store appearance at Harry Rosen in the upscale Yorkville area to launch his line in the city. The offerings on display included a mix of basics like graphic t-shirts, alongside knits, some of which feature leather accents and detailing. Outerwear pieces run the gamut from traditional pea coats to edgier hooded jackets with a graphic printed lining and coats with mesh-style pinhole cutouts.

“The thing that inspires my line, it’s not a person, it’s youth,” said the fashion-forward hip-hop star, decked out in large blue-framed sunglasses, a white Henley-style t-shirt, black vest and scarf, knee-length cargos and high tops. “Youth culture, youth hip-hop, dance culture, the world of the arts, and just expression”, added will.i.am, whose real name is William James Adams, Jr

The collection also has a strong Canadian connection, designed and produced by the i.am je suis division of Manhattan International based in Montreal.

He simply wishes to make pieces that inspire people to wear them and he doesn’t seem interested in crafting tailored looks or styling one particular individual. While the creation of his line is what will.i.am describes as both a “passion and dream,” music remains very much on the front-burner for both him and his chart-topping band.

The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” this week becomes the first song to top the 6 million mark in paid downloads. As it happens, the Peas also had the first song to top the 500,000 mark in paid downloads. “Let’s Get It Started” topped 500K in February 2005.

I’ll tell you about another digital record that the Peas set this week. “Imma Be” tops the 3 million mark in digital sales. It’s the third song from The E.N.D. to reach (or exceed) that sales plateau. The E.N.D. is the first album, in its originally released form, to spawn three 3-million-selling digital hits. The expanded versions of Lady Gaga’s The Fame and Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad also contain three 3 million-sellers, but in both cases only two of the three songs appeared on the original releases. (Gaga’s “Bad Romance” was added to The Fame Monster. Rihanna’s “Disturbia” was added to Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded.)

Taboo, of the Black Eyed Peas has recorded a song protesting Arizona’s SB 1070 bill, scheduled to go into effect tomorrow, July 29th. He starts off the single, entitled “One Heart, One Beat” by spelling out the motivation behind the recording. “It takes one person to stand up for what he believes in,” says Taboo. “I believe there’s been an injustice in Arizona. I oppose bill 1070.” The Mexican rapper is joined by Eva  Longoria, Oscar de la Hoya, Shakira and Juanes, all proudly declaring: “I oppose bill 1070.”

Legendary activist Dolores Huerta has a powerful interlude towards the end of the video, sharing her perspective on the new law: “Bill 1070 is a racist piece of legalization. It is aimed particularly at the Latino community. And who are the people that are being targeted? The farm workers, the people who are taking care of the children, the nannies, the people who are preparing the food, who are cleaning our buildings. The discrimination has gone on too far. ¡Ya basta! It’s enough. ¡Si se puede!”
