Taboo, of the Black Eyed Peas has recorded a song protesting Arizona’s SB 1070 bill, scheduled to go into effect tomorrow, July 29th. He starts off the single, entitled “One Heart, One Beat” by spelling out the motivation behind the recording. “It takes one person to stand up for what he believes in,” says Taboo. “I believe there’s been an injustice in Arizona. I oppose bill 1070.” The Mexican rapper is joined by Eva  Longoria, Oscar de la Hoya, Shakira and Juanes, all proudly declaring: “I oppose bill 1070.”

Legendary activist Dolores Huerta has a powerful interlude towards the end of the video, sharing her perspective on the new law: “Bill 1070 is a racist piece of legalization. It is aimed particularly at the Latino community. And who are the people that are being targeted? The farm workers, the people who are taking care of the children, the nannies, the people who are preparing the food, who are cleaning our buildings. The discrimination has gone on too far. ¡Ya basta! It’s enough. ¡Si se puede!”

As you all know, Taboo`s B-DAY is next week! ( JULY 14TH). And I wanna organize something with all my Pea-People for Taboo.

Projects:

1)Lets Create the Biggest Fan Video For Taboo`s B-DAY: The video will have 3 different sections: You can record a 60 seconds Video, saying: “HAPPY B-DAY TABOO”, try to do it original, wearing your BEP/TABOO shirt, with posters, painted faces, etc.. haha.. in all the crazies & original ways. Also, you can record yourself singing “ROCKIN TO THE BEAT”. And, if you are too shy for videos, send us a picture of your poster for Taboo`s B-DAY!

While at the BET Awards this past Sunday, Access Hollywood got the opportunity to chat a bit with the four members of The Black Eyed Peas.  Fergie uses the opportunity to sarcastically say that she is already gone from the peas and that she’s pregnant for the 5th time, none of which are true by the way.  Enjoy the interview below:

The Black Eyed Peas have made Forbes list of the 100 most powerful celebrities.  According to the list they are the 16th most powerful set of people.  They compiled the list, by adding various factors together, such as get paid 48 million, a rank of 32 in pay, 18 online, 36 on press, 42 on tv/radio and 37 on social rank.

This is what forbes says:

Since crossing over to the mainstream in the early 2000s, the Black Eyed Peas have been everywhere from the Super Bowl pre-game show to discussing politics on CNN. A worldwide tour that took them from Switzerland to Mexico brought in $800,000 a night, while the band’s openness to endorsement deals led them to ink commitments with Target, Honda, Bacardi and Apple.

After rumors started circulating online thanks to RadarOnline saying that Fergie, Taboo and Apl were having problems with Will’s ego, therefore causing Fergie to quit the group, Taboo and Will have confirmed otherwise.

There you have, it was just another silly, stupid and uncalled for rumor.

The Black Eyed Peas are finally on a break from touring for 2 weeks, after over a month and a half in Europe.  Taboo arrived at his house with a sign on his door saying “Welcome Home Daddy”.  Check out the video he posted on twitter below:
